When I first arrived to this place I was totally shocked. It was an amazing day and I came to Timber cove to look for a lot for a new vacation rental project. Russian River and the north coast was an area I felt I knew quite well (after building in Guerneville for more than a year), but I guess there was more to explore. 

I was all alone, just me and the blue of the ocean. Suddenly I saw this beautiful, vintage modern building, situated so beautifully besides the ocean. After so many disappointments from the conservative American design I couldn't believe I missed this beautiful modern spot. I forgot all my missions for the day, and spent several hours in the the resort property - having lunch outside facing the ocean, enjoying myself in the lobby's bar near the fire place and staring at three beautiful kids playing ping pong.

Timber Cove Resort is a mid century modern resort sitting above the ocean, on Highway 1, just north to Russian River. Stunning views from every corner, beautiful rooms, warm and well curated lobby/living room with a fire place, outdoor games and a really good restaurant. Even if you choose not to spend 400-500$ for a room per night, you can still come for several hours, hike around the property, dine (outside, inside or in the lobby) or just chill on the bar.
